Here’s my original painting of a barefoot gardener with her basket full of vegetables – illustrated for an article in the summer issue of Daughters of Promise magazine!
I love how it looks printed – such a great article to illustrate for Living the Good Life at Home by Ann Schrag. The article is a beautiful reminder to love the work of homemaking ; )
This is the view from my porch – what I call the door yard. I watch my birds at the feeders and relax on my shady porch with my kitty. It’s my happy place! My little slice of heaven on earth is right here ; )
My Babe built me this beautiful little porch just last year! We’ve been enjoying it so much! It’s such a great place to relax and visit together with family and friends. We both liked the idea of having a porch before we built it – but we had no idea how much we’d love it!!!
This is my favorite chair – the hammock chair!
Also, My Babe and I have a wedding anniversary coming up soon. Counting my blessings and so grateful to have a beautiful home and family with this man! I’ve been married 14 years with this guy – My Babe ; )
My little sketchbook – it’s the one I grab when I’m not sure what I’ll be drawing. It only has two, maybe three pages a year, for the last 7 years…random garden or landscape scenes, etc. I keep it and some pencils, in a bag, ready to go ; )
These make me happy. Need I say more?
I’ve finished up this composition of wild woodland flowers: mayflower, starflower, and trout lily (the one I have did not have the usual mottled leaves)
It’s available in my FB shop HERE if you’d like to have it for your very own! The sister composition with blue bead lily, wintergreen, and anemone is also available HERE – if you’d like the pair ; )
An ephemeral flower of north america, but not native to Maine – it will grow here though and I’ve seen it in a few of the botanical gardens. I just love those delicate split leaves!
June is prabably my favorite month! My gardens fill with flowers, the butterflies and honey bees are regular visitors, and the birds are raising their babies ; ) We start school vacation for the summer today – YAY! Later this month is my wedding anniversary to my dear husband (I always choose a botanical garden somewhere for a picnic lunch!)
Anyway, here’s a Free calendar Download for your Desktop! Featuring my crepe paper version of Nymphaea odorata – fragrant white water lily native to New England – Enjoy!
