I was just ‘doodling’ around with my brushes – trying some lettering and a few flowers for fun…this is my version of practice/playing and seeing how ideas flow from brush to paper ; ) Spring is just such great inspiration: lily-of-the-valley, scilla, snowdrops, and a bumblebee!
This is the time of year for camping in Maine – so here’s a little camping inspired illustration for this summer!
It’s my absolute favorite season!! Blue skies, green growing everywhere, sunshine, and iced coffee ; )
Hope you’re all enjoying these last few days of 2016! Here’s a sneak peek at something I’m working on for all of you, my dear friends and followers, in the year to come!!
Autumn is SO beautiful!!! I painted these fall flowers today while the boys played outside – we went for a walk through the woods twice this week and found the greatest variety of mushrooms and pretty red maple leaves…I’m soaking in every sunny day and breathing deeply the breezes smelling of crisp leaves and pine needles!
This is my last illustration for this summer. I hope this picture is at least worth a hundred words, because I cannot otherwise express how lying in a meadow with the sunshine all around you feels!
I wanted to do a beach/ocean themed pattern that wasn’t just the typical hawaiian or nautical. So, there are characters from the northern shores as well as the tropics here! Puffins, pelicans, walrus, and coral reef animals are all together
One more Valentine’s Card (actually, it’s poster size) before this weekend! A floral typography ; ) I’m in love with how it came out anyway!
A few of the wild fruits available in New England: cranberries, wild plum, crap apple, elderberry, and acorns. Acorn flour makes delicious spicy cakes!
